The Gait Foundation launched on David Baldwin Barnes' birthday, Wednesday, July 15, 2015, on Capitol Hill at 201 Bar located at 200 Massachussetts Avenue NE in Washington, D.C. Over 120 people, including Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke (D-NY) and Congressman Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), joined us to celebrate and begin this important work, donating over $1200 toward the incorporation and 501(c)3 status filing for our organization.
